Rice University Campus Additions

Tellepsen has partnered with Rice University dating back to 1923 with the construction of the Rice Chemistry Building. The latest partnership was on the Anderson Clarke Center, a 3-story, 51,000-square-foot facility. The building houses a 250-seat auditorium, 24 classrooms, language center, conference rooms, and a commons area. Tellepsen constructed the 100,000-square-foot Barbara and David Gibbs Recreation and Wellness Center which provides the campus with a fitness center, basketball courts, racquetball courts, pools, a dance facility, and a wellness center. Tellepsen also constructed the Rice East Servery, Baker Commons, Hanszen College, and enhancements to the Space Science and Technology Building. The East Servery project included a more functional and state-of-the-art cafeteria with an upgraded dining experience. The Recreation and Wellness Center project received the AGC Houston APEX Award for Project Excellence.
